My most successful offer was pretty boring

Hey Reader,

I'm hosting a workshop on offers next week. Want to join me? https://luma.com/drbsiim6

The most successful offer I had during 8 years of running my copywriting agency was silly simple:

Not sure what to say about your services? We'll help create a clear message and website copy to grow your business.

That was basically it. Now of course, I couldn't leave it alone.

I'm an optimizer and always believe there's a "Better Way" to be found. Even if I should stop my own tweaking. It's why I'm good at coaching others to tweak their own business until it works.

So... I gave my offers and process a "better" name. I added more details. More layers. I tried to make it sound more sophisticated. And it got slower. Clunky.

The fancier I made it, the harder it became to sell.

Like if you over do the cupcake decorations, and make it a disaster like this...

I get it. I understand why consultants do this. We get paid to sound smart!

You've spent years getting good at your work. Calling it something simple can make it feel less valuable. You want the offer to communicate the depth of what you know. I get that. But your ideal customer is not grading the originality of your offer name.

They are trying to decide whether you understand their problem and whether this is something they should buy.

Sometimes the simple description is the stronger one. (Trust me on this)

Not because your work is simple. Because the customer should not need your level of expertise to understand why the heck they need it.

Inside the Clear Offer program, I help folks like you work on your offers and get feedback from other businesses just like yours.

I've learned that we often need the simple version to sell over and over again, before we try to make the language sound impressive.

Know someone who's looking for some momentum? I'd love to meet them.

Sharing is caring, right?

P.P.S: The Clear Offer Program kicks off soon. This is the best place to be if you want hands on help with your pricing, packaging, and sales questions.
